Description

This key focuses on empowering the youth, recognizing their potential as significant contributors to the field of innovation. The programs under this key aim to cultivate a culture of inventiveness and provide support for young Filipinos to thrive in the inventive and innovative landscape. By empowering the youth in the field of invention and innovation, the Imbentor Party-List seeks to build a future generation of inventive and forward-thinking leaders.

Programs

Youth Inventiveness Enhancement Programs. Collaborating closely with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), we will champion initiatives that fuel the inventive spirit of the youth. This includes supporting workshops, seminars, and innovation competitions specifically designed for young minds, aiming to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, we are committed to establishing enduring partnerships with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to champion programs like the Youth Social Innovation Lab (YSIL) and others that not only invest in the youth but empower them as pivotal contributors. By aligning these efforts, we seek to propel the youth into a position of significance, accelerating their role in realizing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering a culture of innovation for a sustainable future.

Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Adoption Program. Encourage the Sangguniang Kabataan to adopt inventions and innovations at the Barangay level. This can be made possible by assisting the partnerships with SK councils to integrate local inventions and innovations into community projects, promoting grassroots solutions and community development.

Youth Intellectual Property Incentive (YIPI) Program. Staunchly advocate for the continued backing of training initiatives and facilitate the seamless filing of inventions and utility models by the youth. Additionally, strive to amplify and broaden the scope of programs under the Youth Intellectual Property Incentive (YIPI) Program by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL). This commitment aims to empower young inventors by providing them with the necessary knowledge and resources to protect their intellectual property rights, fostering a conducive environment for innovative growth and development.

International Exposure for Young Innovators. Sponsorship young Filipino talents, enabling their active participation in a myriad of international science and innovation fairs. Our commitment extends beyond financial support; we aim to meticulously identify and endorse promising youth inventors, affording them the invaluable opportunity to represent the Philippines on global platforms. Through this initiative, we strive to offer not only exposure but also meaningful networking opportunities, empowering our youth to showcase their inventive prowess on an international stage and fostering a sense of pride in their contributions to the global innovation landscape.
